I have been playing volleyball with Salem College for about a month now and it is still taking some tie to adjust to the intesity. High school sports and college sports are completely different.  The intensity of college volleyball is different in the sense that everyone is as serious about the sport as you are because you all fought in one way or another for your spot on the team. In high school sports not everyone is as passionate as they should be. I am one of the four first-years on the team, but I am the only first-year that was not recruited. I joined the team as a walk-on this August. As a first-year I have to deal with the consequence of not getting as much playing time as the upperclassmen, but this is typical for any college sport.
